To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Rabies took over my puppy Eva I had a half chihuahua and half pomeranain puppy. I bought her on new years eve and got really attached to her, I never thought that on Feb.24th that we would had to put her out of her misery. I noticed that feb. 1st she was acting strange. She wouldn’t eat but drink and all she did was sleep, throw up, and have liquid poop. Well feb.18th when she turned 3 months old, I took her to the vet, they thought it was provo, but it came back neg. But they gave me medicine just incase. I knew it couldn’t be provo cause she stayed inside and I never let her out of my sight, she even went with me in town. Well we gave her the medicine and the next day she was doing fine, she was playing and eating and acting normal. Well feb.22nd she started foaming, she couldn’t swallow anything. I thought it might be reactions from the medicine. But the next day it got worse. She kept foaming and started acting retarded. She acted like she was going blind and deaf and she was acting paralyzed. It was hurting me to see her like that. then she would get up and raom around and act like everything was ok. Then it would start up again and this time it started attacking things. Thats when me and my husband realize that she had to have rabies But the problem was is that we don’t know where she got it. She never been outside and I always had her close by me and on top of that she didn’t have any bite marks on her. The only thing she had was pimples on her stomach and in her ears, and the vet said that it was just puppy acne. But I got tired of her suffering so feb.24th early in the morning, my husband took her out there and shot her in the side. I miss her sooo much and I’m still wondering how she got it, cus now I got another puppy I have to worry about, she stayed inside with us too and they played together, she hasn’t shown any signs yet but I heard rabies could be pass down by saliva. She just turned 3 months old feb. 27th. I hope she will be ok. March 2009
