stray kitten

I found a cute kitten that looked starved at my barn. I had to go to Mom’s and couldn’t leave it, so I brought it with me. We fed it many times with a small bottle and kitten replacer milk. While holding it, it started to bite the towel we had it in while feeding, then bite the bottle, then bite my mom. After getting it off of her, within a minute, the kitten died. We sent the dead kitten to get tested for rabies and we are still waiting for results.

We will NEVER keep and feed a stray again. This is very stressful wondering if we have to go for shots. I will now call animal control first, no matter how cute the animal is.
