Because of where we live we can only have an indoor animal. I have, always have had and always will have a love for animals. I lost my two black labs in a divorce, which just about broke my heart and have been several years without having an animal around, coming home to an empty house was never very appealing to me. I am always surfing the human society websites, where I found Miss Molly a declawed female 5 year old beautiful cat. I talked to Andy, who also loves cat as well and we adopted Miss Molly on September 21, 2007, we were both so excited. She was thin when we got her home, we took her to the vet within a few days of having her. She appeared to be healthly, but didn’t eat really well. I tried many different cat foods, etc. She finally took to one, but would only eat a little, we thought we were making process with her. She loved to sit in our laps and just purr to us and be petted. Then one day she just wouldn’t ear at all, only drink her water. Being concerned I called out vet again, we took her, she had lost 2lbs since our last visit. So blood work was ordered for liver and kidney which came back all clear and two more tests were ordered and FIP came back possible. I am heart broken, because yesterday, November 1, 2007 (only about a month and half after we adopted Miss Molly) we had to have her put to sleep. Although we didn’t have her for very long, I miss her sitting in my lap singing to me. I have cried my heart out for days through this whole process, it has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever watched an animal go through and the sad thing is there is NOTHING that you can do!!
