About 8 mths ago my son asked if he could bring home this really cute kitty that he wanted so bad. I finally consented and needless to say this Kitty grew on me. I loved him wholeheartedly. He slept with me, he followed me everywhere!! Well last night my kitty was acting very strange, he wasn’t moving around much and was acting like he didn’t feel good. So I made an appt for him at the vet for the next morning, this morning. I took him in to see my vet and they just thought he was being irritable. I didn’t like the answer, but left after getting him his rabies shot. I brought him home and layed him on my couch in a towell and he didn’t move other than his head for 5 hours. At this point I was very upset and just knew there was something wrong. I called an animal hospital and they told me to bring him right in. As soon as we got there the immediately took him and started doing tests. About an hour later the vet came back and said I have bad news. Captain has feline leukemia and he’s in so much pain. We had to make the decision so quickly and I am still stunned. I’m crying as I wright this. I stayed with my cappy when they gave him the shot and he meowed because it stung and watched as about 10 seconds later his eyes went glassy. Please, please anyone who has any suspicion you’re kitty is sick, get them to the vet and get tested. Cappy, I love you and miss you sweetie!! Comments
