To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download I lost the love of my life “Chouchou” My dog was caughing [coughing] and I was told that it was caused by her teeth infection. She was put on antibiotics for stopping the infection, soon she needed stonger doses, which affected her digestion, so she was eating less and less. I tought that if her teeth were removed, the problems would be solved, no more antibiotics and she would eat again. But the doctor knew that my dog was 15 about since she was adopted, after the surgery she went down hill. The doctor said may be the caughing was caused by her heart, she heart murmur but not on medication, her lungs were clear. Doctor have science knowledge so I trusted him. May be if Chouchou would have been put on heart med. we could have rule out the cause of her caughing. Also before the surgery her heart was checked but was not given a special test to see really what was going on. I trusted the doctor but apparently he should have tried other venues. After the surgery my sweet dog had epilepsies attacks, I could not see her suffering and I knew she would not improve. Please do not let operate on an older dog. Ask for alternative. I feel so guilty for not protecting her since she had only me. I hope my story will someone else. September 2007
