My dog Harpo

Harpo had retching close to a year. Tried reglan and it helped. Symtoms for GVS started 1//4/09 with increasing outdoor trips 2hrs after eating. Found outside couldn’t get up ,and mouth covered in foam. He already was recovering from pneumonia. Thought it was that.

Morning I took him to vet and after tests confirmed GVS at 3pm. Dr. said very grave situation. By 4pm stomach 3x its normal size. Rapid heart and shallow breathing. as he was 11 year old Weimarner I chose to euthanize. Yes Harpo would always drink alot water after eating. A lesson to be learned. Harpo will be greatly missed for a long time. Peace and God bless. Fran
