I had 2 cats, one who became pregnant. When the kittens were old enough to give away to good homes, we couldn’t get ourselves to depart. The family decided to keep 3 with mom and an older cat who has been part of the family for 18 years (aunty Candy) We spent wonderful times with the 5 filling our days with joy.It was sad when our first cat (Tiara) was diagnosed and we were forced to put her down as we saw her system shutting down. A sad day it was, when we laid her to rest under the big oak tree in the garden. It had been only 6 months later when our male cat (Toulose) was burried next to her. We just spent our first Christmas without the 2. It’s now 5 months later and we know that their sister (Pampers) is going the same way. All we can do as a family is to give them love and make their last days pleasant and comfortable. It’s not easy letting go of our little ones. They have become part of our family. Our vet says that they all are infected. It’s sad losing them this way… March 2009
