My cat Milo was 7 years old. He has been through about 7 moves with me and has always been my comfort when I was sad. I started noticing him getting thinner and acting lethargic. I took him to the vet to find out he had leukemia. My vet’s advice was to put him to sleep, which I followed. Only now I have started to research the disease more and find out that he may have been able to be treated and stayed with me a few more years. My guilt is over whelming. I called my vet a few hours after I learned this info hoping that they may not have put him to sleep yet. It was too late. I wanted nothing more than to go back and get him and bring him home with me if only to comfort myself. I have never lost a pet before and had no idea this much pain would be involved. Anyone else going through this, please do research before putting your pet to sleep. There may be options. Comments
