Cat Leukemia

My 2 cats have leukemia, and one is 2 years old and the other one is 4 months old. And one 3 month old that has no signs of leukemia. The father died from this october 21st 2007, and was only showing signs of it 4 days before he died. The 4 months old kitty I have, is doing a lot better: he is drinking and eating. The older cat couldn’t. My 4 months old is still in pain from this. A lot of the time he is hyper but latey he hasn’t been doing anything other than sleeping. I understand that theres no fix for this type of thing, but my cat is healthy (besides the leukemia) so he has a better chance of fighting it. The father I think may have got leukemia from his mother, and when my father and mother cat had a kitten, it was pasted on to the 4 month old. my cats are very important to me. I’ll do anything to help them.

Salem adopted us when her mother gave birth under our porch. She was small but had the heart of a lion. Her siblings died at birth but she was a survivor. I wish I knew back then, 12 years ago to have her checked for feline leukemia. [more..]
