To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Losing my cats to feLV I lost two of my babies to the distructive nature of feline leukemia My partner and I had no idea that this existed until we took our Angel to the vet as she was not eating properly and seemed very down and quiet. She was tested and we were instantly told that the best thing would be to have her put to sleep. This broke our hearts, then our other cat Puss Puss was also tested and this came back positive. As he was well we decided to keep him indoors and review his progress, at the first sign of deterioration though we agreed to have him put to sleep. He lasted almost 12 months from the date that he was tested we had him put to sleep in February this year. I would urge every cat owner to get their cat vaccinated and although this is never a 100% gaurentee it can protect them, I would hate for anyone else to go through what we have been through. At first I blamed myself for not knowing about this virus before it was too late, but now I know that next time I will take precautions for my cat. Comments
