To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download FIP and your cat In september of 2009, we lost our 14 year old cat, Baby, to feline infectious peritonitis, FIP by the time she was showing symptoms, she died within a week, we just lost our 16 year old cat Shadow, to the same disease. by the time we realized shadow was showing symptoms, she died within 2 days, she suffered miserably, so last evening on valentines day, we took her to the vet to have her put down. we have 2 younger cats, and we are now disenfecting everything that they use, kitty litter, food and water bowls, blankets, etc. because they are 4 and 5 years old, and healthy, we’re not overly concerned about them, but we are keeping a closer eye on things, so to those who have more than one cat, please, please keep this in mind, for the health of your cats, and your own well being, it is heart breaking to lose any pet for whatever reason, but at least we can be more awared, and take steps to ensure their health and well being.
