my beloved cat

Hi everybody, I just wanted to share this experience that I had with my beloved minina cat that was her name. All of a sudden she started loosing weight and to the point that even if she ate and drank she was soo dehydrated when I took her to the vet. So they gave her fluids through IV and also before going home under the skin. Unfortunately she didn’t get any better and later the next day she had to be hospitalized for 6 days. The fluids had caused here labored breathing and had to be at least 4 days in an oxygen tent. Later she got better and the fluid was cleared on its own, but was still on antibiotics and IV. She started eating on her own but not for long.

You see the Doctors didn’t test her fluid that had accumulated in her chest to see if it was an infection or another reason. So she was discharged and over the weekend the fluid came back slowly and that Monday she was back in the hospital. By then and only then another doctor checked that fluid and it had pus in it. Because cats don’t eat when they are sick she was already very skinny and dehydrated. She was put back on IV’s and heavy medication such as antibiotics but this didn’t seem to solve the infection and it finally took over her breathing and finally I believe the infection had spread so I had to put her to sleep. I was soo upset and after spending just about 6 thousand dollars she didn’t get any better.

This happen in Jacksonville Florida at a supposely reputable vet called vet Specialist off of Southside blvd. Now that I know this I wouldn’t recommended anybody that really has a pet with a serious problem because apparently they didn’t catch her disease on time and because of that she died. I really think after so much testing she was completely misdiagnosed.
