My kitten..

We just went to the vet not too long ago because my kitten’s left eye was getting blurry and she threw up that morning. I was expecting for her just to say she had allergies and maybe we’re feeding her too much. As soon as the vet saw my kitten she said this was very bad. That she might have one of two diseases.

Either leukemia or Feline infectious Peritonitis (FIP). So the vet did a blood test and drew some blood to test for leukemia. She came back fifteen minutes and said fortunately she does not have leukemia. But then the vet said that she is pretty sure my kitten has the disease FIP because she was showing some of the symptoms.

I was EXTREMELY sad and I am still sad now. The vet said to come back about four days later so we can draw her blood to test for FIP. But I could tell the vet was really sure she had it because she explained to us what happends in FIP I was completely devestaed. We just got out kitten about 4 months ago and I had fallen in love with her. I couldn’t imagine living without her.

So the next morning I wake up and see that her eye got worse and she was showing more of the symptoms for FIP. She wasn’t eating her breakfast and she was getting scared of little things she was never scared of before. She always kept the blurry eyes closed as if though she could not see from it. I completely broke down and started to cry because I loved my cat and couldn’t believe what she was going through. We still haven’t gone to the vet yet to get her blood testes but I am extremely scared stiff. I don’t want my kitten to die at such a young age I want her to live a full life. I don’t even know if we are going to get another kitten because what I’m going through right now is heartbreaking. I just wish there was a miracle that could cure my kitten in some way. I’m still hoping.
