I never heard of FIP until I got it. I had 3 older persians and 3 kittens. I got another kitten that died from FIP at 5 months old. We did not know what was wrong with her. The autopsy provided by the university proved it positive. 6 months later my 15 yr old died with it as well. Both had dry form. Then over the weekend, 1.5 years later, my 19 yr old died with the wet form. I have 3 3yr old babies left. This is devastating. I thought that only a small percentage of cats in a household would get it. Odds, so I thought, were that we would not have it again. I am frustrated because I do FIP7b testing. They were negative and I thought it was gone. When my 19 yr old died, she was negative. I just do not understand. Comments
