It started with a stray that was way too sweet to say no to. We kept her and of course she was pregnant. At the time there was another cat that had kittens. We kept 3, 2 white ones and a peach 1. Bert and Ernie are the white ones, Zed the peach tabby. Ok, here is the deal: the cute calico named Julip started to have sinus infections, very strange. The Vet said it was bad teeth, so for awhile it was ok. We have a lot of cats now because after katrina we were one of the first back in are neighborhood. We fed the cats and some stayed. We got them fixed but not a lot of $ for Vet vists. Well, Julip had fiv it happened so fast, she was there to get a tooth pulled. The Vet called me as I was in my car. she said that Julip was in very bad shape. I called my mom and told her I was on my way to get her. we had to put Julip down. Well, i still regret it, now more then ever. Ernie was her kitten and he has fiv We just found out, yet it was a different Vet and she told us to take care of him. So now we help him feel better and hopefully have some more happy cat time. We will get the other cats checked out. I’m scared: it’s hard sometimes just to feed them all. I am just glad we found a Vet that does not go straight to putting them down. There is a little hope and I HOPE IT grows. Comments
