To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Rhino Virus/Feline Herpes I have a 13 year old male cat that has recently been diagnosed with the Rhino virus or feline herpes The vet has been treating him for several years with steroid shots, antibotics, etc. and now nothing seems to help. The shots only last about 24 hrs before he has a relapse. The only antibotic that really helps is Baytril but can only be given in extreme chronic cases. The vet recently prescribed Viralys gel but my kitty hates the taste of it. It seems to be so stressful to him trying to put pills or liquid down his throat. As time is going by, his condition has become chronic to the point that no meds are helping. Just hoping there is something new to try that will help my poor sweet “Mr. Snuggles.” He really struggles to breath at night. February 2010
