Herpes Virus

My Kitty Coco has been sick with this same virus. He has had this since he was a kitten he has not gotten rid of this. I have also brought him to the vet several times and was told to give him the Lysine 500mg a day crushed into his food. He runs around and acts normal but sounds like he has the worse cold. I feel so bad for him. It is like he can’t smell anything. Someday his eyes are so bad that I feel like they burn and itch. It is like he has the worse allergies. It is horrible. I know exactly what you are going through. Has this Lysine helped for anyone?? I was so afraid to give this to him.
