confused about crucial ligament repair

Hi,
I too saw your story of your dog having a torn cruciate ligament. Several yrs. ago our Welsh Corgi, tore his ACL and had surgery (which was a little expensive, but necessary).
He did fine after surgery, was restricted for approx. 8 wks., but did well after that. More recently our female Corgi tore her ACL while running in the yard (2yrs.ago). She too
had ACL surgery with suture in place the ligaments and did fine. We were told this time, that the possibility of her other ACL being torn within a yr. might happen, which it did. She again
underwent ACL repair, similar to her first surgery. After 8 wks. of being on leash, no running etc., she did fine. Due to arthritis most likely to happen after orthopedic surgeries, she is on Synflex everyday. It has now been almost a yr. since her 2nd ACL surgery and she is doing great. Hope all goes well with your dog.
