Lab - torn CCL - TPLO surgery I have a 2 year old Lab who tore her CCL while playing. Since she’s a very active, large dog, her regular vet suggested we see an ortho vet for TPLO surgery. Although VERY expensive we went with it. The healing process is long and was very difficult at first as she had to be crated 24/7 for the first month (except for quick bathroom breaks at which time she was assisted using a belly sling).
