To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Poor Puppy Dies from Distemper My sister recently got a puppy for her birthday from a 2nd chance adoption place. They let her have the puppy at 6 weeks which was wrong but made my sister very happy. They also knew the puppy had something cause they sent him home with meds. The puppy had been to the doctor 4-5 times in the 2 weeks she had him. His final visit was yesterday when the second opinion doctor said he had Distemper which explained his jumping and hardness breathing as well as not being able to hold his head or body up. The Neurological symptoms had gotten to the point where this 8 week old puppy was suffering. Yesterday we watched as they put this beautiful puppy to sleep to end his misery. We are glad we gave him a good 2 weeks of life, but what he went through the first 6 weeks I’m sure was Hell.. I hope no one has to go through this, it is hard on the heart. The puppy is no cremated and sitting next to our Old puppy that died years ago from natural causes..RIP!! June 2008
