To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Diagnosis unknown Dear LCK, how are things with Prince now? My old dog was diagnosed with Kennel Cough and had 17 days of anti-bio`s….He was okay, no coughing, eating fine ETC. Out of the blue he had two massive convulsions (spelling, sorry), I have only just now read and found what the ‘chewing gum’ may have meant. They both started with this. I rushed him to emergency vets, and he was put to sleep. I don`t know what he died of (it cost so much, I could not afford to find out). That was some months ago, I am due to get a puppy in March and have another dog who was fine, and still is! I`m now so worried that, if it was distemper my home will now be heaving with infection……What do I do? Can the home be cleaned & safe….Is my other dog going to be infectious, even though he is veccinated, and seems perfect? If I get the puppy, even after it has first jab, would I be risking it`s life? Why do the Vet`s give no consern, when there is no clear diagnosis?…..I know just how frustraiting it can be, and I hope Prince picks up…perhaps some puppy formula milk would help him also? I don`t know what to do about the lack of diagnosis. But I hope you do get one! Does anyone have advice on Cleaning the home, and how long the virus would live in the home, this is such a worry? All the very best, January 2008
