Another “is it distemper?”

We adopted a german shepherd-2 yr old male from a rescue organization. He was vaccinated in June & again October 18. He’s with us 6 days & starts sounding snarfy in the nose. Some mucus coming out. Off to the vet-mild fever-Amoxicillin. 5 days pass, no improvement. Green/yellow snot from the nose. That’s the ONLY symptom. Appetite slowed down a little, but still eating & drinking. Back to vet-blood test show high white cells & high lymphocytes. Doc says we can’t rule out distemper with a secondary bacterial inf. New med is “SMZ TMP 960mg”. Daveyo?
