To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Copper I adopted my adorable puppy 4-1/2 months old on May 5th. By May 7th-8th he had begun to develop pneumonia. I took him to the vet. By May 10th he had began to have very bloody diarrhea and had lost his appetite. I was sure he would get over this and babied him, fed him pedialyte and puppy formula for the next week. After a while it seemed I was just keeping him alive to suffer even more. By May 14th he was having muscle twitches which became more severe towards the weekend. When I got home on the 21st I thought he was dead, but he was just very sad looking. After talking to my vet on the 22nd we decided it would be best to go ahead and put him down. I did so yesterday; even though I know he had a very slim chance of recovering or ever stopping the twitches I am still very sad. He was a very sweet puppy. Also, he did have his first set of shots, but there is an outbreak of distemper at my local animal shelter and I assume he had already been exposed before his body was able to develop immunity.
